Today, I was making cement which was used to level a bathroom floor. Didn't capture none of this on camera because things happen too fast when you are having fun... Anyways, it would appear a very simple process, just requiring your mind to switch off and keep shovelling the stuff around. Of course it gets tiring, just keep going. The trick is in the mixture of sand & cement powder to water. I used about half a bag of cement to 6 spades of sand. Then about quarter of a pail of water. The real job was in applying the stuff, which I can see is where a bit of skill is required to get a decent finish. This was done via a local friend of a relative, who used basically a cement leveller and spirit levels prior to application. There is a little more to it than that, but basically, these are the essential components. Very interesting.
