Worthy of note today... First time I have seen an electric vehicle here in Aus. Approaching a tight roundabout, a quick stop. At first it looked like any other 4x4, then I realised the only noise I was hearing coming from my own engine as I clocked the EV sticker on the back of a Rav4 Toyota. All things considered, there would be no way of knowing to the untrained eye, that this machine was in any way different to the rest. However, this is proving to me gently that there must be enough interest, before seeing them on the road. Hats off to this, because I thought i'd never see the day. I bet the owner was very happy with this silent car, if somehow a large percentage of the road logistics were using lithium cells, the noise pollution decrease would become very distinct. Impressive. Also worthy of note, the driver did not look like punk material, so the advertising although limited must be hitting the correct targets. More EV's, more.

As you can see, this old quarry isn't in business now. The reason I went here was to borrow a stone for lifting as a weight, but will probably end up re-buying that stuff. This little scooter drinks a few dollars of fuel here and there. It's a far cry from some of the equipment we use at work, as per fuel consumption. IE 5 litre vs 218 litre, who cares really...
The weather is getting rainy now, and this place can also flood amongst other hazards, so it's always something to be aware of.
Recent checks of the weather situation globally are pretty dire. I am glad that I am not out at sea just now, I can tell you. Years back, I recall being offered a job on an Arctic trawler to be away for 6 months on silly pay, but frankly, I couldn't be bothered with it. Boats make me sick when I hit dry land again, it's strange.

Back in 2004 I had to go to the dentist with a bad tooth. Being skint, it was the NHS one at the time. All said, the tooth to be extracted snapped which isn't that great. I been walking around with this dead root in since that time, which although isn't painful because the root is dead, is largely annoying and sometimes can get dirty and need antibiotics. The bottom line is it needs sorted, and I had no idea if it could be, without all sort of complications. Now it appears a tool has been in use for some time, which I was unaware the dentists have called a Luxator. It is like a knive that carves out the space between the root and the gum allowing easy extraction of broken tooth. Previously, I believe the proceedure would have been to cut a portion of the gum in order to get rid of the broken root... I do not think this tool has been around that long, perhaps years, I am uncertain, but very handy. Will need to check if the dentists here have them at some point soon. Made by a Swedish dentist incidentally.
Tonight I had an idea of how to get rid of a bad corn that has plauged me for years now due to working in steel toe boots most of the time... By using a tool known as a pencil grinder with a stone attachment on the lowest rpm, I made a significant improvement on par with the work I had privately done abroad at a chiropodist. The thing with corns is really they must be burned out completely, or they just come back as hard skin, but for now, this is much better.

Returned "home" this evening after a brief interlude with the landlady regarding pecuniary settlement for abode arrangements to find this nice example of Australian nature on the wall. I'm guessing it is probably dangerous. Tried killing it, but it ran off, very evasive and alert. If you don't get any more updates, it's likely i'm dead, no, really.

I was thinking recently about intelligence regarding scores on tests such as the IQ etc. A thing that makes me wonder slightly, and almost contributes why I never bothered persuing a University based education, is that the average Uni teachers intelligence level is around IQ 125 and when I sat a Mensa test years ago scored 142, so this made me wonder what exactly the benefit would be from spending years supposedly learning from a perhaps less mentaly able human.
