Recently, was watching the Ryder Cup golf on TV. There is a story attached to this event, which was named after Sam Ryder who sold plant seeds for a living... Worthy of note, not long ago, I saw advertised "all in one" golf club from an American vendor. After a little checking, it seems the basic original concept of this device is patented to an inventor known as Charles V. Winter, Barrington III back in 1941. I am unsure who this person is, the only slight resemblence I can see to this name was an American schoolteacher who was a physical exorcise instructor.
