Pretty much, been stopped normal smoking for 2 months now. The ecig is a nicotine vapouriser. I worked out a way to make your own liquid nicotine suitable for vaporising, if for any reason you ran out of cartridges etc, needs must. You need nicotine chewing gum from the chemist and a bottle of glycerol. Basically, put some water on 3 pieces of the gum in a cup and mash it around. Recommend leave for long time, overnight even. Then mix the watery nicotine with glycerol, obviously in small amounts, and then pour back into the cartridge.
