Just as I predicted, a few months back intense weather in the form of rainfall engulfing the Nelson region of NZ. I'm glad I moved away from that godawful place. The bad news is that a lot of residents were evacuated today and the filming of the Hobbit cancelled as the weather is making it too difficult to film safely. Our kids are tucked up nicely inside with the Playstation 3, playing Battlefield 3 like there's no tommorow. The ute is going back though, we simply can't afford it, and the petrol consumption alone is probably to blame for the Nelson landslides...
