Finally after months of emails and general awareness, it transpires this miev is being launched this month down in Victoria for free trial to the smarter than average people, basically. The vehicle is around 4 years behind other countries launch, but that doesn't matter a toss. Everyone with half a brain wants one, but just can't either afford it, or locate it over here. Anyways, well done Mitsubishi, hopefully I can get one of these EV's at some point, I don't care who the manufacturer is.

Recently, I was having extreme difficulty obtaining a decent set of weights to lift at a justifiable pricerange. As mentioned, I had resorted to lifting a stone, which I returned the other night back, because somehow, the other day, when cleaning out a container, a set of old mining grinding balls had been lodged in the back for scrap. These make decent weights, not too heavy, perhaps a bit on the light side for me, but better than a stone, certainly.

Something which keeps arising, especially at work etc, guy talk, always crops up, talk of wars. My understanding of this, is that so called ww3, is a war of disinformation, and breakdown of basic humanity, which, you will no doubt find a regular occurance. So, in effect, I guess currently, despite other campaigns utilising combat which are, or have been conducted, basically, ww3, is happening around us. It can be as simple, as basically not giving that piece of info, or recommendation to someone. It is crappy times we live in.

Something I tried to locate today with tremendous difficulty as usual, is a device called a powerball. This fitness gadget is over 10 years old, however became popular again about a year or two ago in Europe. The local sports shops have hardly heard of these here, apparently one place stocks them and yes, you guessed it, they want top $... Oh well, will probably just have to make do with lifting the stone again for a while. The reason, i'm into this stuff just now, is, over the space of a year, I lost over 12 1/2 stone by doing nothing more than basically eating just salads and working manual style. Now that all the weight is gone, I have developed slack skin esp. on the gut area, which I could either have surgically removed or try a more basic approach of contiunuing with exorcise like weights/crunches and applying a moisturiser often. I learned that skin has a basic memory which can stretch and return to a fair degree of it's original state. This could take months or perhaps a year or two, before I get the desired result. Anything beats surgery, which I truly can't be bothered with.

Worthy of note today... First time I have seen an electric vehicle here in Aus. Approaching a tight roundabout, a quick stop. At first it looked like any other 4x4, then I realised the only noise I was hearing coming from my own engine as I clocked the EV sticker on the back of a Rav4 Toyota. All things considered, there would be no way of knowing to the untrained eye, that this machine was in any way different to the rest. However, this is proving to me gently that there must be enough interest, before seeing them on the road. Hats off to this, because I thought i'd never see the day. I bet the owner was very happy with this silent car, if somehow a large percentage of the road logistics were using lithium cells, the noise pollution decrease would become very distinct. Impressive. Also worthy of note, the driver did not look like punk material, so the advertising although limited must be hitting the correct targets. More EV's, more.

As you can see, this old quarry isn't in business now. The reason I went here was to borrow a stone for lifting as a weight, but will probably end up re-buying that stuff. This little scooter drinks a few dollars of fuel here and there. It's a far cry from some of the equipment we use at work, as per fuel consumption. IE 5 litre vs 218 litre, who cares really...

The weather is getting rainy now, and this place can also flood amongst other hazards, so it's always something to be aware of.

Recent checks of the weather situation globally are pretty dire. I am glad that I am not out at sea just now, I can tell you. Years back, I recall being offered a job on an Arctic trawler to be away for 6 months on silly pay, but frankly, I couldn't be bothered with it. Boats make me sick when I hit dry land again, it's strange.
